He earned his Doctorate in Medicine from The University of Ottawa's Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in Anatomical Pathology at the University of Ottawa - The Ottawa Hospital.
Further advancing his expertise, Dr. Flood pursued a fellowship in Genitourinary Pathology at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He returned to Ottawa to join The Ottawa Hospital as a pathologist, concurrently holding the position of Associate Professor at The University of Ottawa and clinician scientist at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
