Dr. Kerr, Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, received her M.D. degree from Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine where she also completed a post-junior student fellowship in pathology.
She moved to Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School for post-graduate training, including residency in Anatomic Pathology and fellowships in Bone & Soft Tissue and Head & Neck Surgical Pathology as well as Cytopathology. After completing her training, she practiced subspecialized academic pathology, with a focus on sarcoma and head and neck pathology, at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine before returning to practice at Dartmouth, where she currently serves as subspeciatly director for the Bone & Soft Tissue and Head & Neck Pathology Divisions.
She has been an invited speaker at national and international pathology meetings and been awarded multiple teaching awards. Dr. Kerr has published over 75 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to several textbooks, including the Bone chapter in Histology for Pathologists (Mills SE, 5th edition) and to the 5th editions of the WHO "blue books," Tumours of Endocrine Organs and Head and Neck Tumours. She serves on the editorial board of Head and Neck Pathology and is an Associate Editor for International Journal of Surgical Pathology.
