Dr. Ashraf Khan is an accomplished medical professional specializing in pathology. He currently serves as the Chair of Pathology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate and Baystate Health in Springfield, MA. With extensive education and training, Dr. Khan holds an M.D. degree in Pathology from JN Medical College, Aligarh University in India, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khan has held numerous academic appointments, including Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate. He has made significant contributions to the field through his research and leadership roles, serving as the Director of Surgical Pathology, Surgical Pathology Fellowship, Pathology Residency Program, and Anatomic Pathology Quality Assurance.

Dr. Khan is recognized for his expertise in endocrine pathology and has been actively involved in professional organizations such as the Endocrine Pathology Society, American Thyroid Association, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Distinguished Service Award from the Department of Pathology at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

In addition to his academic and leadership responsibilities, Dr. Khan is committed to education and has played an integral role in teaching medical students, pathology residents, and fellows. He has also been involved in various editorial responsibilities, including serving as an Associate Editor for the Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
