Dr. Anca Oniscu

Dr. Anca Oniscu is an accomplished consultant pathologist with expertise in Gynaecological, Soft tissue, and Osteoarticular Pathology. As a clinical lead for Molecular Pathology services in NHS Lothian and an active member of various advisory boards and steering groups, she has played a pivotal role in advancing the field of molecular pathology in Scotland. Dr. Oniscu's dedication to education is evident through her involvement in training pathology professionals and her role as an examiner for the FRCPath in Molecular Pathology. Additionally, she has conducted impactful research - her publications encompass diverse areas of pathology research, including molecular aspects of diseases like Gorham-Stout syndrome and colorectal cancer, diagnostic biomarkers, testing strategies for Lynch syndrome, and advancements in sarcoma diagnosis.
