Dr. Amal Asar is a Locum Consultant Histopathologist at Salford Royal NHS Trust, where she she specialises in breast and GI pathology. Dr. Asar has a particular interest in digital Pathology and AI in Pathology, and in immunotherapy prospects in cancer treatment. She has been involved in teaching and research throughout her career, having worked as a Teaching Assistant of Pathology and Assistant Researcher of Pathology in a number of universities and medical centres in Egypt. Additionally, she has authored a research paper titled "Immunohistochemical study of the expression of OCT-4 in bladder urothelial carcinoma and its variants," which was published in the Kasr El Ainy Medical Journal. Dr. Asar is a member of several professional bodies, including the Royal College of Pathologists and the International Society of Breast Pathology. She is also an associate member of the Academy of Medical Educators and a regular member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
