He was the Program Medical Director & Chief/Professor of Pathology at UHN & University of Toronto. He also was Head of Translational Pathology at the University of Oxford.

Mahmut Akgul is a highly qualified medical pathologist with a specialization in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, specifically in Urologic Pathology. Dr. Akgul's interest areas within his specialization include Adult kidney tumors and molecular pathology applications in urologic pathology.
